Print jobs of plates from the same 3mf file do not cache on a1 locally

  • I have a project foobar.3mf
  • It has 10 plates, configured for various objects, settings, etc.
  • I send a job of plate 1 to my A1, the item is a coffee cup (example), it prints it.
  • If i manually poke on the A1’s screen, in print files, Plate 1’s job is first on the list, and is of the content of plate 1 (coffee cup).
  • I send a job of plate 2 to my A1, the item is a shelf bracket, it prints it.
  • Now, if I manually poke on the A1’s screen, in print files, the entry for Plate 1’s job (of the coffee cup) is completely missing, and instead there is now a entry only for Plate 2’s job.

Is there any way to alter the behavior of the device so that it will remember ALL jobs pushed through it, not just whatever was the most recent from a project? To replay plate 1’s content, I need to go back to a computer and reslice/resend, and don’t have great assurances of the gcode being identical.

My workaround so far is to rename the 3mf file uniquely, print, rename the file uniquely, print, etc. Total pain in the ass because now the slicer app gets shitty with “recent files” not being found.

questions about your questions…

Is the card old? I have already needed to replace one and the original was like 3 months old, the ones they ship seem to be pretty sketchy.

If the card is fine, is it full? keep in mind there are a few hidden directories where it helpfully stores tonnes of video. I have a 25gb in one and was very wierded out to see 15 files and the drive over half full… made no sense, popped it out and found that there is some shenanigans with video. Not a problem, lil tape and a seperate web cam and bob’s yer uncle. I am kind of tempted to take an axe to the code and see what else I find.
