Anyone know what could have cause this and how to fix it? Thanks
You need a draft shield for the thinner parallel aesthetic of the outter diameter, or you should turn off / reduce the cooling, you can see the ringing grow as the model moves up and it sweeps upward as the printhead moves and creates its own jetstreams down the part, speed could also be a smaller factor but that’s 2nd to the cooling and non-adhesion
Was that with or without supports? Tall thin items like that start flexing for me and it looks like that.
I didn’t have any supports
Hey William I’m pretty new to this. What is a draft shield?
A draft shield is a thin wall that is printed all the way around the part you are printing to shield it from cool air. This was popular back when enclosed printers were not common place and people were trying to print materials like ABS that is prone to warping. It’s not something you see much more with printers like the Bambu P and X series.
I use the Bambu p1s what would you suggest?
I would use supports for those thin areas to keep them from moving with the printer head.
Support or try adaptive layer lines. If you step through the preview, you’ll probably notice those tips are not being supported well at your current layer height.
