Random MAC Address Generator Online | MAC Address Lookup
If you mean the “download the 3mf” option, I just tried it and I have a correctly formed filename, I tested my own so I know the name it should be.
I am not sure if you are suggesting the MAC address you did get is unregistered, there is no such thing as registered MAC addresses.
GUIDs (which is what those sequences actually ate) are generated to be unique on the device that created them.
Do you get a MAC address when you down the 3MF for this model?
I told you what they were designed to be.
People may use them for other reasons.
Their original incarnation was to benefit database design to not have an obvious and sequential number for IDs while remaining unique.
Did you try the link I gave you?
Thats to big for MAC Address surely? its just!
A GUID, or Globally Unique Identifier, is a 128-bit value used to uniquely identify information in computer systems. It’s also sometimes referred to as a UUID (Universally Unique Identifier). GUIDs are designed to be unique across all computers and networks, making them useful for various applications where unique identification is needed, such as in databases, software components, and hardware.
I apologise, I thought you were concerned with filenames being renamed based in your question saying such.
I provided an example to see if that one also does as when I tried, it was the correct filename.
I thought determining the potential area of the problem was what you sought.
If not, fair enough.
All i did was google the #key then ran the key through the site because its unusual considering
As you included no words of explanation, I have no idea what you are representing with this screenshot.
Is the screenshot of your computer file system (finder/explorer)?
The highlighted entry appears to be the same as all the other screenshots in this post.
If the screenshot is of your own file system, the reason it shows as Bambu Studio is because the computer knows it is a 3MF.
Probably a sort of fallback on that model, e.g. it didn’t have a profile name or the name was invalid, so they fell back to an ID of some sort. Or if two downloads of the same model have the same name, it’s probably a hash or the file/filename. Other models (e.g. RoboRattler) have names, it’s only the two you downloaded at 15:01 that have the ID (which isn’t a Mac address).
You are not answering questions of those trying to help and providing no context on images you provide.
You could have described the file system image as a screenshot of your file system to provide context.
You could have added a caption to the last time you provided it to explain the context of why you were sharing the same thing again.
I believe it explains your concern that you think it is registered, it is, but on your computer as an association to to the file type 3mf. This is perfectly normal.
I do not know why you are getting the filenames you are as you have refused to perform the simple check which will help us know if this is a problem:
- You are experiencing and others are not
- Something wrong with one or more files, but not all files
You just provided two images without any context.
Are these two different files or one file with two different outcomes?
We don’t know as you have chosen not to help us help you.
I am not convinced you want an answer or help. I do wish to assist if you do require help. You do not have to accept my help of course, just say.
If you do wish to be helped by me others, provide context that lets people help you. If you are just writing for the sake of writing, that is fine.
I will assume the latter unless you provide the former.
