Print profile works for me, but not another user?

Another user contacted me saying that they couldn’t print a plate in my print profile.

When I asked for more information they told me, “it just says slicing canceled”

I have never seen an issue like this before. I pulled up the profile in question and it slices fine for me. I will try to print it again after my current job finishes, but I didn’t know if anyone else had ever had any issues like this before?

Here is the link. If anyone else tries it, please let me know if you have issues too.

The profile in question is the first one (Stronger Prints).

[UPDATE]
The print profile in question was set to use “print by object” and was configured on an X1C. This is configuration does not work on an A1. We need to create separate profiles for different tolerances when using “print by object” for the different printers.

Ask them what slicer they are using & if the changed any of your settings.

Great suggestion. I will see if they respond!

It is printing for me. It sounds like they didn’t get that far. I will take photos and share it with them when it completes.

Also what printer they are using? They might be trying to upload to a printer outside of the Bambu ecosystem?

I thought two people were having the issue, but I just realized that it was the same account that commented twice.

Printed perfectly for me over night.

This morning the user says that they got it printed. So I asked if they determined what the original problem was.

They also posted a photo; it looks like they were printing on an A1.

i would assume it would still print on the a1? Glad they got it sorted, was it just bed adhesion issue? perhaps from motion of bedslinger? or what was the verdict? looks like a nice model

They haven’t replied to what the issue was. I am starting to think it was just a connection issue on their side or something. If they reply, I will post the response here.

Hopefully they are nice enough to come back and change their rating as well since they were so quick enough to give you a 1 star in the first place.

i just sliced all 3 plates with no issue, perhaps his computer is subpar and it struggles with memory or graphic card processing issues…never heard of slicing cancelling itself but seems to point to a weak computer IMO

What kind of filament is that? Looks amazing!

That filament is eSUN Silk Metal PLA. I found it on sale, so I thought I would try it out, but it is quickly becoming one of my favorite filaments!

It is on a cardboard spool, so I had to transfer it to a real one, but that wasn’t too hard either. I just used the method where you pull off one side, insert the re-usable spool, flip it over and repeat. The hardest part was lining up and locking the re-usable spool.

But I would totally recommend this filament, it is one of the most beautiful filaments I have used. Perfect for making desk/shelf statuettes (or bronze looking lightsabers).

They said they have no idea why it didn’t work, but they got it printed and love it. Still no change in the rating.

I rate this thread 1 star as Star Wars is for nerds… :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

You might consider reporting the rating as doesn’t reflect the true experience.

I probably won’t bother. They will either update it, or it will get enough real ratings that it won’t matter.

The same user has loved all my saber designs, so I believe they will update it eventually.

I had something like this happen once before. Someone left me a 3 star rating, and when I asked what could be improved they said it was “11/10 loved it”. Eventually they updated their rating to 5 stars.

I am wondering if the issue is “print by object”?

Does the A1 support the same height and distance restrictions as the X1C when printing by object?

I ask because they state that the other profile always works without issue. The main difference between the two is that the new one is print by object.

They replied to my question, but I don’t understand their response… Does the A1 support “print by object”?

They responded, “but no it does not it comes out really smoothly”.

I am not sure if they are saying they don’t have an issue with print by object, or do they?

Print By Object is a Slicer setting, any printer can do it. I’ve done in on my A1 mini.

Good; I assumed any of them could do it.

My question is more about the clearances. Are the clearances similar on the A1 as they would be on the X1C?

The clearances are different.

On the A1 and A1 mini they are very short.

When I got my first P1S I was surprised how much more height was available using print-by-object having been limited previously.

Add an A1 to your printer selection in BS. You don’t need to own one or have one connected.

This way you can test slice and see the issues if the arise.

It’s 5:35am here and I am writing this from my bed (can’t sleep) otherwise I would slice myself.

I strongly recommend slicing using ‘faux’ printers to confirm potential issues. It is entirely possible that this is the issue as those items look too tall to be printed-by-object on the A-series, using the photo for reference only.
