I have a model that I have printed many times in the past and it was always fine. I have a new A1 as a replacement as mine died. Have tried 2 different hot ends, leveled it, calibrated it, Flow dynamics, all the things I can find. Still prints horrible. Benchy comes out great.

Actually, the flaw should have been clearly noticeable during calibration - wasn’t it? Did you happen to take a photo of the calibration process? That would certainly be quite revealing right now.
On the other hand, if you say that Benchy looked great… what if you print a simple cube?
Your filament isn’t moist or spoiled, is it? 
calibration came up fine, no issues. I’ll try a cube, thanks. Brand new filament… driving me bonkers.
Just because it’s new doesn’t necessarily mean it’s dry - it’s possible it was delivered to you moist. It doesn’t happen very often, but it does happen. New doesn’t automatically mean dry. As I said, just keep it in mind.
