Before I crack open TinkerCad, does anyone have an STL they want to share that utilizes the factory print volume of an X1C + ams?
I’m wanting to print a box that takes into account the off limits zone in the front left corner of the printer. Yes, I’m aware of the workaround for the off limits fix.
I want to print the full volume of the printer as is. Meaning, I don’t want to modify it using the fix noted in the BL wiki link.
You can use the full 256mm³ build volume OR you can use the AMS. Not both.
Printing in the full volume requires disabling the automatic filament cutter, else the filament will be cut every time the print head moves into the front left exclusion zone.
Using the AMS requires using the automatic filament cutter, which means you cannot print in that front left exclusion zone.
The Bambu wiki page linked above (Print volume limitations) seems to focus on utilising the full height achievable by the printer head. But what if the model that I want to print is X=255 Y=255 Z=30; that is, I need the full X and Y area, but have no need to modify the Z height.
Currently, with AMS (where I only have one spool, I don’t need to mix materials or colours), the X allowed is sufficient, but Y is being limited to 200mm (and as I say, my Z height is just 30mm). I really need to free up the Y limitation, to get at least 250mm. In this case, is there a fix that doesn’t require messing around with the filament cutter hardware or the settings for Z height, as is the focus of the linked wiki page?
