Print 'vertically' - more support layers at once?

(hi, these are my first prints and I am not sure what search terms to use, so apologies if asked before).

Is there a way to make the P1S with AMS not print ‘horizontally’ but more stacked in some parts of the print where possible, to reduce filament changes?

I’m experimenting with using PETG as support interface layers with PLA printing. And I get 70 ish filament changes.
Of course there is a risk to knock stuff over, but could it be a bit more clever maybe and not swap filament 70 times but maybe 20 by printing the interface layers of an isolated object in one go?

I have a support tree for one part of the print that gets a few layers of PETG at several heights as interface and this causes the whole print to get slowed down massively due to all the filament swaps. But it would not be a problem if it got a bit higher than the rest since it is in one corner of the bed. I mean if it could do 4 layers in one go, that would reduce the amount of swaps drastically.
