When I read the updates for Studio 1.9.1.66 I downloaded and installed. When I tried to bind by pin, the interface on my printer doesn’t match what is shown in the WIKI.
When I select Account on the printer menu, I see my account name and the only usable button says Logoff. I have tried to logoff from the printer menu and then reconnected in Studio. Studio finds the the printer, but the menu option under account still has Logoff as the only option and no option to se a PIN #.
Using Studio 1.9.1.66, P1S firmware 1.05.02
I believe this is because of the firmware (not 1.05.04?) to match the new features of Studio.
The pin function was added on the P series for firmware version OTA 01.05.04.00 and onward.
If your printer is still at firmware version 1.05.02 (you will need to connect it to the internet) try power cycling it to see if it will present you with the option to update. If it does not you may need to enabled the “Beta firmware program” in the Handy app settings. This should allow you to update to the latest public beta firmware on a power cycle of the printer.
Hi Don, how did you manage to sort out your problem? I have just unpacked a PS1 and updated the firmware. I can bind to Bambu Handy but it will not bind to Bambu Studio. Like you when I go to the Account setting I just get my username and no Pin is generated. If I log out then I get given the pin which I put into Studio but then nothing happens. I read online that I need to press Bind on the printer interface, but this is not showing.
Printer: PS1
Printer Firmware: 01.06.01.02
Bambu Lab: 1.9.7.52
Windows 11
IIRC, once I updated the firmware and restarted the printer, I still didn’t see the bind option in the account setting of the printer only the name. So I then logged out of Bambu Studio and logged back in. Viola, the printer showed up in Studio. Hope this helps. If not, I would open a support ticket.
