What brand and type of filament are you using? The OEM nozzle on the P1S is stainless steel and they do wear out and become prone to clogs. A 0.2mm nozzle will be prone to clogs from debris in/on the filament or “filled” filaments like CF, wood, marble. and glow. TPU is also prone to clogs with smaller nozzles.
Is there a “time frame” that nozzles will generally last?? I am having so many issues with this machine (P1S) recently, I’m trying everything like changing nozzles and plates, and nothing is working now. I have wasted soooo much filament trying different things to print. I use Sunlu and Bambu filament.
I got a little over 800 hours out of the original stainless steel nozzle. I have about 1600 hours on the hardened steel nozzle and still printing fine. A lot of factors can affect nozzle life.
You dont mention what kinda filament you’re using, but the various fiber-filled, wood, rock, and glow ones all do contain particulate matter that will clog some nozzles. Usually 0.4 is safe nowadays but not always. Check the spool if they have a recommended nozzle size for those non-plain filaments.

Hi all. Update.
I’m using Bambu Lab PLA. After a cold pull and recalibrating a simple fidgit print failed.
I captured a video of the fail (but cant seem to upload). Before it prints you can see from the flush that it seems to flow out ok
and at the beginning it actually prints the line down the bottom
but from there nothing sticks to the plate and it clogs up again.
Any thoughts?
It is said on the forums quite a bit but even Bambu’s products can have moisture in them which will effect whether your print works or not. Even if it’s a brand new roll, dry it out.
Also, make sure your plate is clean. Your issue isn’t that the nozzle is having problems. Your print isn’t adhering to the plate and the printer continues to push more filament as if it did adhere. That filament has to go somewhere and it is sticking to the nozzle instead of the plate. Clean the plate, maybe increase your bed temperature or try another plate.
I dont think you’re getting a clog here, your prints just aren’t sticking to the buildplate and then they ball up on the nozzle. Or the model youre printing isnt on the buildplate, or something of that nature. If it lays down layer 1, then Deep clean that plate, IMO. Make sure your bed heat is set to something and not 0.
unscented Dish soap (dawn), a scrubby you dont use for dishes, hot water. Handle on the edges
To clean the nozzle itself, just put it back in the machine without the silicone sock, command it to heat nozzle to 210, give it a minute, and itll melt again. Wipe it off carefully with something that isnt your finger cuz its very hot.
I agree with the past two comments, it sounds like a buildplate issue. If it’s the textured PEI plate, you could try washing it and flipping it over (mine that came with my printer is double sided). Sometimes, the texture get worn out over time.
