I’ve had my printer for about a week now and figured out how to make filament profiles and everything, but my printer doesn’t seem interested in using them at all. I have an AMS unit and I now understand that the system will only use the preloaded filament profiles to display on the system, but from what I’ve read those are just for show and if you select a custom filament profile in Bambu Studio and you’re using an AMS, then the custom profile takes priority for the actual settings even if the name doesn’t show up on the display. This hasn’t been the case for me and I’m really confused what I’m doing wrong. I’ve tried leaving the AMS filament profile black after loading and reseting it before printing so it still displays as “???” on the printer, but that doesn’t help either, it still seems to use the standard filament profile. For example, Atomic PETG needs a bed temperature of 80°C, but no matter what my printer always sets the bed temperature to 70°C, which is the generic PETG profile. Some of these filaments have a specific temperature range like 250°C max and despite that the temperature is still reaching 255°C when printing, which means it’s still using the that same generic PETG profile. Can someone please help me figure out what’s going on because I’m struggling to find any resources talking about this.
