Printer poop and wiping issues after bent nozzle

I have an X1C and was doing a print that took up most of the bed. As some point, part of the print came off the bed and the printer knocked the rest look. It happens. In this case, though the spaghetti detection was off, so it blobbed up to the point that I had solid balls of PLA and a bent nozzle. Again, it happens. The only thing salvageable was the fan. I had a full replacement and swapped them out. I have had no problems with print quality, but I have noticed that about half the time, the wiper leaves a long thread of filament stuck to the side of the nozzle. That, invariably, gets stuck to the print. I’ve had multiple times since the bent nozzle where the color-change poop doesn’t drop and gets dragged around the print, sometime getting buried in the side if the print. The silicone boot is all the way down the the bottom of the nozzle and when the filament is sticking to it is on the side of the nozzle or small bit of exposed brass on the bottom between the tip and nozzle opening.

I’ve redone all the calibrations and changed out the wiper. I did some dimensional test prints and the printer is still printing accurately.

Not sure what else to try here as I’ve only had a few previous issues with poop not getting dropped down the chute. They printer is only 5 months old and I’m a hobbyist, so no hardcore 24x7 printing.

Any suggestions on what else to check to troubleshoot the issue?

Check that you have fully tightened the screws down.
