I was given a P1S in like new condition because the previous owner got frustrated. Apparently there was a blockage and he dismantled the entire printhead. The parts are all missing and I’ve been searching for a diagram to figure out what to replace (even the screws are gone). Can anyone point me in the right direction?
If you’re technically-minded then you’re in luck. All the answers, how-to, videos and spare parts are in the wiki. P1 Series | Bambu Lab Wiki
ALL of the parts are missing? What was he thinking? I hope you confiscated his tools when you picked up the printer.
I don’t know of a parts diagram for the print head. You might get some clues from the Wiki and YouTube. The info on nozzle or extruder maintenance or replacement should help.
Looks like a lot of work but I can handle it. I have nothing to lose and the experience may be helpful if my X1C ever needs an overhaul! Thanks.
It was actually handed to me by my building super and I don’t know who it belonged to. I really appreciate the ideas!
If I may offer one bit of advice. Get a magnetic dish or tray or even a small magnet to hold onto the fine screws. Also, although Bambu supplies screws, jut do yourself a favor and buy spares anyway.
Absolutely. Thank you very much.
Hi, I posted a question about replacement parts last week and the ideas and advice were excellent. Someone mentioned that a photo may be helpful and here it is. I know I need the extruder and hotend/fan, but I can’t figure out which cables I need. I’m also concerned about the length of the screws - can someone please direct me? Also, I need a plastic latch for the camera wire and cannot find it. I appreciate all the help.
You should have provided this photo to the original post and not a new one.
You have split the conversation, lost the original people and lost all the context from all the useful information you mentioned.
Creating a new post will hurt rather than help you in the long run.
Adding new content to a post would put it back to the top of the recents list most forum members use.
You’ll need these
Extruder assembly with filament runnout sensor (cable included)
Front housing (cable included)
Screw kit
For the ptfe release clip
and a complete hotend. (cables included)
For the chamber camera?
Apologies for the error. It’s quite a learning curve!
That is correct. Thank you.
Thank you very much. I really appreciate the time it took to put all this together and I’m ordering right now.
You may have to reverse engineer and print the “camera wire clip” as I don’t think it’s included with a replacement camera.
