Printhead repeatedly slamming into purge shoot

Has anyone encountered the printhead repeatedly going to the front right corner and then slamming back into the purge shoot lever prior to a print… I mean like 8-9 times in a row! I thought it was just the P1 machines but one of my X1C just did it too! I tried vanilla BS with all BS settings and a BS Cube nothing influincing it from my own settings and it still does it. Tried going down one version on the FW but still the same… any ideas?
Let me clarify what I’ve done… I am using the correct printer in slicer, I’ve tried both BS and Orca, I’ve done a factory reset, diagnostics and full calibration, I’ve backed the firmware down, tried different sd cards, checked for nozzle/extruder clogs, rebooted my home network, used a laptop instead of my regular pc, tried different models, tried different Ams unit, tried different filament (just because)…

Was one of the tensioner springs not working properly on the back of the machine

I have exactly the same problem. Did you manage to solve it?

Yes. By any chance have you printed an upgraded part for the ptfe tube that goes into the print head? I found that when I put the two screws back in to hold the new part, in place of the old, that they went in slightly too deep and were causing a slight contack issue with the toolhead main board. After I backed the screws off some the trouble stopped… the only way I cam to this conclusion was because i had 6 printer, at the time, and 5 of them were doing the exact same thing… that upgrade was last thing I had done before this problem occurred. So even of you haven’t upgraded that part have you tightened those screws down on the original part lately, maybe during maintenance…?

No, mine has no mods whatsoever. It all started happening after a firmware update although I doubt this is the actual reason. I am experiencing also quite a few layer shifts. Not sure if that’s related. I retightened the belt tensioners. I’ll check the ptfe side of things. Thanks for the tip!
