My friend had a situation arise with his new A1 and it got me to thinking if you find a file on maker world and click the open in bamboo Studio option does it actually download the file to your computer or is it printing from the cloud? My thoughts is that it’s a download actually that stores on your SD card prior to printing just the same as if you’d hit download. The situation he’s in is he has to return his router to the ISP and didn’t know if he can unhook it while he’s printing a 40-hour file from maker world I would assume he would be okay to do so but what are your thoughts
I triggers a download and loads the file to you computer. The file is usually stored in your downloads folder.
Starting the print is totally unrelated to that process.
He can unplug the router. The gcode is transfered at the beginning.

If you download (or create from fresh) to BS, slice and send to the printer - it is transferred to the printer’s SD card and the printer prints from the SD card file.
The internet can fail until after the printer has finished and all is good.
The printer always prints from the SD card.
The downloaded file is also stored locally on the computer even if the user doesn’t choose to specifically save it. Look in the downloads folder or whatever you changed BS to use.
