Hello.
I’m trying print a frame of a cube (hollow like an aquarium) with an insert of a cube that would only print infil, without walls. The inside cube is shaped so it doesn’t overlap the frame.
The problem I’m experiencing, is that the first layer of the top frame is treated as walls and it doesn’t get any support or solid infill:
On the screenshot you can see how it handles parts individually and in assembly with different order.
When I change the order of the assembly to Fill → Frame, then it removes inner walls from the frame and adds infil instead, yet, it still doesn’t support first layer of the top frame.
So, I guess my questions are:
- why parts order in assembly affect each other even when they don’t touch
- what can I do to print this assembly properly? And by properly I mean handle bottom of the top frame as either a bridge or at least inner solid infill. The support enforcer doesn’t do anything so is the support paint on the bottom of the top frame…
Thank you.
