I’ve only had my P1S about 2/3 months. In that time I’ve had a few small issues but nothing I wasn’t able to find a fix for. This one has me stumped. I did look on forum to see and found a similar issue so I will try what was in there but in case that doesn’t work I want to be proactive and see if I can get some help
Only thing I have changed is my nozzle, got one on Amazon instead of Bambu. It’s been printing fine even with the replacement nozzle until today. I send the file to print. It downloads with no issue, starts heating everything up like it should and then just stops at “heatbed preheating” as shown in photo even though the bed is heated. Any suggestions would be most appreciated
I am sorry it didnt work.
At least that eliminates common causes.
I am lost with this one. The first image shows that the nozzle is still heating … but after 5 minutes, it isn’t usual to be stuck.
Since you replaced the nozzle, double-check if the cables are firmly connected at both ends or return to the older one.
As the self-test doesn’t show errors, I will assume the printer is working well. In that case, the issue can be in the file, communication, etc.
A straightforward test is without using the app or studio, i.e., using the printer display, printing one of the cache files that come by default in the printer memory, e.g., benchy, memory card holder, etc.
To identify its failure stage, please pay attention to the printer’s behaviour, such as toolhead movement and temperatures.
If this one gets stuck, too, it shows that the issue is with the printer.
If all that fails, open a Trouble Ticket with BL support or use their new service to chat directly with the support team. You already have plenty of info to share. At the same time, while waiting, inform us so we can try to give other tips.
So I have tried 3 prints. 2 of my own and one that was preloaded and the same thing happens with all of them. I did open a ticket so hopefully support has some answers for me. I appreciate all the ideas. It’s just crazy how one day it just stopped.
Hope so. Well now I just noticed a new problem, which could be the cause of the overall problem. The heatbed stays hot. She once I made this post I just had the printer on, but nothing printing of course due to the issue. Went into the app and check on the printer itself and the heatbed was as hot as when you would be printing. App said 65c. If this new information gives anyone new ideas to try let me know. I of course have no shut off the printer as I don’t want or need the heatbed in n all night.
