I had to print TPU for the first time, and I was looking for information and found this post, and I say that I was “afraid” to do it… however I used the Bamboo Generic TPU profile and just changed the flow to 2 and everything went well good…

Hi, only use your external spool when using the TPU, it will not accept in AMS. Then select, Generic TPU. It should then, print Ok!

I’m thinking about the reason for Bambu Lab to maintain a big gap between the wheels of the extruder… I think that the reason is to avoid direct contact between them to prevent premature wear. They should have considered including the possibility to regulate the minimum gap distance between the two wheels by adding a stop screw or something like this.
Probably with a plastic injection-molded casing, they couldn’t bring the wheels closer together without risking them coming into contact due to the tolerances of plastic injection. That’s why some users, like in my case, may have issues extruding soft materials while others may not.

I think the same but in the other end, if is filament feed in the extruder the force is the same all the time with my hack ? Or not?
Hello @ricaxe . I have created an exact copy of the original extruder lever and then shifted the axis of the wheel by 0.3mm. Additionally, I have designed an extractor for the wheel axis pin for both the original lever and the modified one, using the cutter lever screw to remove the pin. Since this was initially your idea, would you like me to send you the files in case they are useful to you?

Hi I was unabled to print tpu until I use bearings to support the spool… since that I print well tpu.
i am happy that you found time to improve the file ! send you link and I test it out! 
It all depends on the hardness of the tpu!

Why you don’t have made a remix?
I like challenges, and I’ve considered designing the lever myself as one.
I can send you a version of the lever in one piece only or even exactly like stock version. You should use glue to join both parts. I have preferred to separate it into two pieces to avoid the use of supports.

Everyone wins when people give a remix and change a file to his ideas ! more people can like your change!
