Hi everyone, I need your help because I don’t know how to do this.
I want to print a PLA base and then print a TPU part on top of it.
Since TPU cannot be used with the AMS, I need to first print the PLA from the AMS, and then switch to the external spool for the TPU.
The problem is that I don’t know how to pause the print at a specific layer, detach the AMS, and continue printing the TPU from the external spool.
The printer doesn’t stop automatically.
Are there commands I’m missing? Has anyone tried this before?
When you slice the file, you can move the vertical slider on the right side of the screen to the layer where you want to pause. Right click on the slider and select the ‘insert pause’ item. You will need to slice again for the pause to be added. Note: when you select a layer to pause, the pause will occur at the start of the layer.
If you are only switching between the two filaments, you can run them both from the external spool.
