Hello, good day. Please advise. I print on A1, nozzle 0.4 and I tried a layer of 0.28, 0.24 at a temperature of 220 and a speed of 100 on the perimeter. The print looks good, but from a certain angle you can see ripples and a kind of oblique direction. Otherwise the surface is smooth and does not flow anywhere. Can anyone advise me on what values and speeds the PLA Basic ob bambulab prints at? I tried changing the speeds, k factors and still the same result.
You tried - does this mean just that or does it mean you calibrated the filament?
Filament calibration, or at least confirming the calibration is ok should come before messing with settings as otherwise you compensate for problems you don’t even have.
The calibration of the factor k has of course been carried out.
Great, so I assume that with the standard 0.2mm layer height there is no complaints with the prints.
Can’t really see anything in your pic worth complaining about - I guess the issues are indeed minor?
Do a top surface test print to quickly see how accurate the flow ratio is calibrated.
5mm thick test cube with 25mm sides will do fine here.
Ideally there should be neither any gaps nor any build up visible on the top layer.
Gaps mean the flow is too low, build up or ridges along the wall perimeter indicate the flow is too high.
In case that all works out well try to lower the smooth speed discontinuity area value.
Default is I think 150, I usually set it to 100 to 120 for prints where need above average quality.
