I am trying to use the PLA-W Support Filament from Bambu Labs. Looking on the shop website where it shows the support filament, it shows only one “interface” layer of the support filament. When I loaded the filament in, and selected it in Bambu Labs Studio, under “Filament for Supports” it turned the entire support structure into the support filament. It took my print from 3 hours and 55 minutes to 15 hours + to print, wasting 75g of the support filament. How do I get it to only do a interface layer of the filament instead of the whole support structure.
Switch your support material to the desired material, ensure the interface material is your support material.

When I select as you have shown, an extra model shows up on my build plate that is half support material PLA and half regular PLA. Is that normal?
If you’re talking about the rectangle off in the upper corner then yes that is normal, that’s the prime tower. There’s an option to disable it, there’s pros and cons to having one.
