Prints fail after changing filament

Hello Fellow Bambu Enthusiasts,

I recently purchased a P1P, and have been loving it. I’ve had great results with the filament that came with it. Ever since I switched to Sunlu PLA I’ve been getting the following results

I initially thought it was a clog, so I did multiple cold pulls, and the trick with heating the allen wrentch and sticking it in the hot end. All to lead me to the image above.

Here’s my filament settings:

Any ideas on what I’m missing? Should I swap out the nozzle? Any help really appriciated!

200 seems cold unless youre printing slow. 99% of the time, if the issue starts after switching filament, the filament is the problem. Probably needs dried at 60c for a day. The water evaporates in the nozzle. That causes high pressure which spits the filament ouf instead of a nice even flow.

Here is a summery of solutions I have seen posted on the groups

  1. Make sure your filament is dry
  2. Run the calibration in Orca Slicer - Flow Calibration 1 & 2 - Heat temp tower - Read the instructions on the Wiki and make adjustments as required.
  3. Make sure your print surface is clean - Warm water and liquid soap, dry off with a paper towel
  4. Make sure your nozzle is clean - Can also do a flow calibration under the calibration section.
  5. Make sure your first and second layers are setup correctly under Process in the slicer.
