I’m still pretty new to filament printing (experienced in resin).
I’ve been running my P1S + AMS daily for a month with only 1 failed print.
I had my first clog this morning. I managed to get it flowing again. But the next print (that I’ve run dozens of times) wouldn’t stick to the PEI plate.
I wiped with alcohol but the second failed after that, too.
Is there anything I’m missing or need to do to get back on track? Just not sure what to try next and I have orders to fill.
Likely you have fingerprints on the plate after working in there. Alcohol dissolves the oil but just spreads them around unless you use LOTS and constantly change the wipe.
Wash with a good grease-cutting dish detergent (Dawn), rinse thoroughly, dry with a clean towel and DO NOT Touch the print area.
Also make sure the hot end it straight and well secured. If it is loose it can cause issues with bed leveling.
(Edit - @lkraus beat me to this one)
Did you wash the build plate with dish soap and hot water? Was the bed in when you were clearing the hot end? Oils from your hands can cause lots of adhesion problems. Alcohol can cause oils to be smeared around instead of removing them.
