Prints keep getting knocked off of bed

Hi,
I started having problems with prints slipping off my P1P and having to rely on brims and rafts to make them stick. Eventually I used an IR temperature reader and measured the temperature of the bed. It constantly read 10 degrees cooler than the settings for the filament. I just increased the bed temperature setting by 10 degrees and the problem has disappeared.

I have a question I hope you can help me with. I currently own an A1 printer, and I love its performance. However, I encounter an issue when printing items with a small base and long components, such as sticks with supports. The prints tend to fall over, starting from the supports, causing the entire print to fail midway. Do you think a CoreXY printer like the P1S would resolve this problem?

Welcome to the forum.

Yes the X/P printers handle tall thin prints much better than the A series printer as the part and bed don’t move back and forth.

Im having same issue. Strangely after printing percecrly the next print keeps getting knocked off and has ever since. Ive trammed the bed and its still happening.

Any ideas?

Ive also tried different filaments to rule this out. Ones that i have used previously without issue.

How long’s it been since you took the build plate to the sink and really scrubbed it good with dish soap and water?

That was the first thing i tried. But i will try it again.

I even flipped the bed as that side hadnt been used since i last gave it a good scrub (about 4 days ago) and that still failed

Does the print have a really small footprint, like tall and skinny?

Well i thought that and yes kind of, its a lego head but a big version so the bottom is a circle with a hollow middle and then it builds up from there. Then i tried test cube from makelab and that does have a relatively small footprint.

But what i dont get is the first one i tried (lego head) printed perfectly the first time. Literally no issues then all of a sudden it just gets knocked about. And it was a 3 hour print, ran smooth as anyting. Now it prints for about 5 minutes and its knocked off

Sometime if you print the same thing twice in a row in the same spot just enough residue is left from the first print that the second time it won’t stick. If cleaning the bed doesn’t fix it you try moving it in the slicer (if it will fit) and see if that helps. Last but not least start with a small “brim” and work your way up. I was printing these Christmas ornaments upside down and I ended up having to use a big brim because they were so top heavy.

Ok thank you i will try a thorough clean again and see what happens and go from there

Right so gave it a good scrub, trammed bed again, printed a bed level test and it came out perfect.

Started print again on the part i was doing before and its knocked it off again. Wtf

Any ideas?

Start with a small brim, set it to auto and let it generate one. Then if that doesn’t work set it to manual and use one a little bigger. What temp is the bed at when you’re printing and which plate are you using?
