Prints randomly stopping across 15 P1Ss

Anyone else experiencing random prints just stopping mid-print with no error codes, it just stops and completely ends.

I have 15 P1Ss that had been idle for the last 6 months and I finally got them all back online for new endeavor and I got em all cleaned up, updated all firmware and recalibrated them.

Now I am randomly getting prints stopping across the printers with what seems to be no logical reason.

it is no specific printers, so far it has occurred on 8 different printers at completely different times.

I have reformatted all the SD cards and am sending files directly from Bambu Studio and just can’t seem to figure out the cause.

Something makes me think it has to do with the latest firmware as I never had this issue in the previous 2 years I had them and it just appeared after I updated and started printing again.

Very stumped

I’ve not experienced this since updating the firmware on my P1Ss. I’ve just updated the bambu labs software and the only issue I am running into is that I cannot stream the camera.

I see you reformatted the SD cards, but do you have a new SD card you could use? I think investing in quality SD cards is always the way to go.

I’ve seen that some people have had similar issues when the timelaspe is enabled - do you have timelapse on? If so try run a print with it turned off?

I’d replace all of the SD cards with name brand, turn off time lapse & turn off power recovery.

Not sure what your network looks like, but if it is large company commercial make sure they aren’t seeing large amounts of broadcast traffic coming from others parts of the network.

Is there any chance they are browning out due to too many on same circuit? It’s winter now and the power usage will have increased over 6 months ago.

There was also a some number made with defective power sockets, but it seems unlikely you got 8 of them. It’s an internal fault but you might be able to stimulate by wiggling the plug in the printer socket and see if the red light flickers.

My 3rd printer, is a replacement for a power failure. Now this new replacement one (have had it maybe 2 weeks) is having and sd card failure. Stopping in the middle of a print and doing nothing…It’s also acting like it has lost it place and I have heard it hit a piece it was printing. So I stopped it immediately. I recalibrated it, that seemed to fix the lost problem temporarily. As now it is saying sd card failure on yet another print that has printed for 4 hours already! If I am needing an sd card I have not a clue what kind to get. Can someone send me a link for the correct one. Hell I don’t even know where it goes. I have 3 printers and have been printing since October 2024, considering 2 more printers to keep up with orders, but dang…this is a replacement and now its not working!

You can get any name brand, Sandisk, Samsung, Toshiba, Lexar, PNY, etc.

If you want the easy route, get a 32GB, they might already even be FAT32 formatted. If they aren’t it is easy to reformat them.

If you want ones that will last longer, get larger ones like 256. The problem is you’ll need to format them yourself and formatting large cards FAT32 takes some extra work and can be a bit tricky on older systems.
