Prints send to cloud but never print

Confirmed via the mobile app that there are a dozen attempts to print, but the printer seems to have connectivity issues. The wifi signal is perfect (on a 2.4GHz only SSID), and I can ping it from my PC without interruption, but the Handy and Studio apps both randomly show it as offline.

I’ve tried rebooting, signing out of everything and reinstalling all the apps, re-binding, etc. but I’m just back where I started. At first it printed ok, then the problem started and I’d have to re-try printing and it would work the second time. Now it doesn’t print at all. Any ideas?

Long shot but have you checked to see how congested the wifi channel that your router is using? There are phone apps that allow you to see what channels are being used so you can set your router to use a less congested one.

Did you check network on the printer? There is a check on the menu of the X1C.

I’m an IT professional, and my network is definitely not an issue, nor the firewall. The printer network test claims it’s fine - it seems like the printer is just randomly blocking traffic (from both the cloud and the apps).

This morning, I tested a print and it worked first go, so it’s pretty random. I can’t see anything else on my end, so I can only assume the problem is in the printer’s firmware.

I’m always skeptical of people who lead with this.

Well there are tens of thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands of printers that don’t have any issue…so it’s probably not the firmware? Perhaps try a cellular wifi hotspot?

bambu lab stole it! I knew it would happen!

If it is the firmware then strange no more complains from other people. If you are a IT professional, did you snif the network traffic (Wireshark) to diagnose the problem.
