Private Beta Recruitment - P1 Series

Hi everyone,

A new important firmware update is close to being released and we are looking for potential candidates that wish to help us in the first round of Private Beta testing for the P1 series.

If you are interested, please sign up by following this link.

The Private Beta period will start next week, and all the approved users will be added to the private section of the forum.

Thank you for your help in ensuring a great experience to all Bambu Lab P1 users!

  1. To join the Beta Testing Program, you will need to have a Bambu Lab Forum account, which is the same account used to log in to your printer.

  2. Join the Beta Testing Program only if you can afford to encounter some small firmware problems and issues. Do not join if you use the machine for production, and you depend on it. Small bugs present in the Beta Firmware might create problems during your workflow and might take some time to fix.

  3. If you join the Beta Testing Program, please take your time to properly report the bugs according to the example bug report shared. This will provide the developers with all the information required to solve the problem fast and in an efficient manner.

  4. Users can exit the beta program at any time, and revert to the previous production firmware, on request.

  5. Please do not include private information you don’t want to make public when reporting a bug (such as private STL files).

  6. The information shared in the Private Beta Testing group will remain private, and should not be shared publicly.

  7. When using Beta software, there are specific risks. Issues during operation can occur which can generate hardware or software damage. In unlikely situations where something like this happens, we will provide support for solving the problem.

  8. If you have more than one P1 series printer all of them on your account will be offered the firmware update. If you wish only 1 to get the firmware update consider creating a separate account for that printer. Another option is not let it install the update on other machines if you only want it on 1 of your printers.

  9. After you get access to the beta test section of our forum please keep the information discussed in that section private. Do not share any information about the beta program and the new firmware features we are discussing in that section.

By joining the Bambu Lab Beta Testing Program specifically agree that you have understood all the information shared in this sign-up form, and you agree not to let your printer unattended when using Beta software.

We appreciate your help in improving the Bambu Lab Firmware.

You may wish to edit this as you likely copied it directly from the recent A series beta firmware announcement and forgot to change this portion to the P series.

My email address registered for the printer and the forum are different (one has two zeros at the end, while the other has only one). I can’t move the printer to the email I use for this forum. I have already filled out the linked form, but am I still eligible for this event despite the different emails? It’s easy to verify that both emails belong to me since they literally consist of my name and surname, with only the numbers at the end being different. I don’t own multiple printerts registered on mutliple emails, I just forgot which one I used to register the printer and used another email for this forum…

Why not resubmit the form with email your printer account uses?

They don’t want to know your forum user email, just your forum account name, from what I can tell

The issue they are trying to deal with is the syncing of beta support to both your MW and forum accounts.

They are asking for both to be the same so they don’t have to cross check anything which causes difficulties when managing the process of responding to bug reports and getting feedback.

If they are coming from two addresses, they can’t sync anything.

This is fairly common in beta testing situations.

I already put that printer email in and also my forum username but if they asked for both they’ll probably do a small cross check before accepting/declining people if I had to guess.

I realized this email discrepancy when I first tried to register my printer for X1plus software and could not change it. I am trying to get them to use the same email, not questioning bbl’s methods lol

In the long term, trying to get MW or the forum to allow you to swap email addresses now so they match for you will help you.

The problem will continue to plague you when you least expect and like now annoyingly affect you.

It is best to sign up with the email used on your printer. That’s how we can enable the download of the new firmware when it becomes available, for your printer.

If the email is incorrect, you will not be able to download the latest beta update.
