I’m rather new to printing and having nozzle issues printing Bambu PLA Silk with the standard P2S setup.
I’m getting nozzle clogs every time I try to print with it and having to stop the print ?
What am I doing wrong? The filament is dry and stored around 10% humidity.
This is the error message:
Failed to extrude AMS A Slot 1 filament; the extruder may be clogged or the filament may be too thin, causing the extruder to slip.
Are you printing with the door open?
Did you dry it yourself or is it new (i.e. wet)?
Silk is more temperamental so drying and printing with a chamber temp in the low 30’s (°C) is highly recommended.

It is kind of the nature of silk PLA. It looks nice once printed but seems to often have problems printing. Certain colors, like gold, tend too be more troublesome than others. Sometimes giving the filament a manual push or pull to help the extruder along helps.
It is new, stored / dried in a 4L plastic cereal box with silica gel, the meter read about 10%.
My standard PLA prints perfect every time no prep I don’t understand why this is so different?
Should I increase the nozzle heat? BTW It’s a new printer,
Just seen you recommended chamber temperature low 30’s this could be the issue as my work shop is up to 40 in full sun at the moment.
Maybe I should try printing with the door open in the evening? anything else?
Yes, on my X1, PLA suffers from heat creep if the chamber temp is above 35°C. Silk is even more sensitive. And it needs to be really dry.
