Problem with Bambu studio printer settings

Hi I’m brand new to 3d printing, I have a P1P with the normal stainless steel 0.4 mm hot end.

I have this problem where whenever I load a print onto Bambu studio it changes my printer to a different printer, typically an A1, and when I change it back a tab pops up saying “do you wish to save modified changes” or something like that. it gives you the option to discard the changes, save the changes, or use the changes. the changes are for the changed printer, but some things on my printer have changed. Yesterday i noticed that somehow the auto bed leveling had changed and it didn’t do a grid. Then i tried to print a piece, and it fails on white pla, but works with black petg hf, at least mostly worked. in one layer, the piece would snap every time. it wasn’t a one time thing, I printed the piece around 8 times including the black.

I also tried supports, and those didn’t help.

The the bed leveling is selected in the send print job dialog

no, it changed how it leveled the bed. the red dots it where it tests, the black line is how it moves.

Sometimes it will do a short bed probe if it finds these points at the same height as previously.
As for your failure problem. Ensure that your build plate is super clean. PLA and PETG don’t adhere well to each other and any residuals on the build plate from a previous print can cause adhesion issues.

the problem is that at a point on the build it’ll crack.
it’s a bad pic, but hopefully it’ll help. one whit is snapped, the other is gunked up.
I have printed this before with no issues.

if you’ve ever printed a dummy 13 this is the shin armor.

Should I up the size slightly? but that doesn’t explain why it worked before…

those pictures do not help please post your 3mf

nevermind, I signed in, hopefully that’ll work

separate parts, 100%, recommended settings(2).3mf (6.3 MB)
@Panamon_Creel here, this is it, just the two shin pieces. the shin pieces are named.

It seems on any bambu printer if you use bambu studio it only bed levels the areas it is printing on. Where if you print from the sd card, it does whole bed leveling.

Not sure what it does from bambu handy app, I don’t really use that.

@flint723 I’m watching it do a leveling now, and it’s doing the full bed. it did both the new, and now it’s doing normal. i’ll see how it does in a sec.
edit: i’m also using studio.

I would highly recommend using Hybrid tree support, build plate on your shin and forearm pieces.

No it doesn’t do the leveling matrix on the print area only but as said before it may do a short level procedure if it finds that all of these points coincide with the previous level matrix.

@Panamon_Creel so all I should do is just turn it on to tree hybrid? I did a normal tree support, and it fused to the shin part. I hope this works; I’ll try it now.

@Panamon_Creel This helped a bit, i’m still not sure if it’ll work, it fixed my fusing problem, so there’s that. if this doesn’t work i’ll make it bigger so that it shouldn’t snap, and throw a dab of glue in there.

sadly, it still cracked.

@Panamon_Creel thanks for trying to help, sorry that this has sorta been a waste of your time. :pensive: have a good day!

Sorry but your picture quality is very bad and with it difficult to decipher what your problem could be.
Only recommendations with the information I have is that you should run some filament calibrations like flow dynamics, flow rate and maybe also a temp tower.
Also try a standard PLA profile as part quality from your out of focus pics seems rather poor.
