Problem with dimensional accuracy on the A1

Hey guys,

I’m having issues with my regular A1 without AMS.
I experience a significant deviation of Accuracy (0,50mm) and just wanted to ask if that’s a common issue with the A1 or if I just had bad luck with mine.

I pretty much tried everything and it didn’t work out so please tell me what kind of accuracy you measure with your calipers.

Thanks in advance

What filament (ie. PLA, PETG, ASA) are you running. Shrinkage is a real thing and some filament types shrink more than others.

Decent video showing shrinkage and bonus caliper usage content.

PLA+ shrink’s 0,1 - 0,2%

Also it would always shrink the same % on every piece whatever length. I experience different deviations by printed piece size. 0,4-06%

I could write a wall of text about this topic and my findings on different bambu printers and the crowd here will remember to hate me again, so I won’t

To keep it short:
Bambu printers are not constructed or tuned for accuracy but cosmetically good looking prints.

To keep it longer:
The ever so popular “x percent off” statement isn’t helpful and 99% of the 3d printing ‘youtube’ scene is too shallow-minded to get in to the weeds.

Edit: Thought it would make sense to move my ramblings into a separate topic as things I wrote are mostly generally applicable beyond the A1 or even bambu printers…
