Here is a model that I just printed that needed quite a bit of support (I printed laying flat like in the first image). When I went to remove the support it was really stuck to the model and impossible to remove cleanly. This is printed in Elegoo Rapid PETG. I was setup for auto Tree supports but guessing since the needed support was so low the tree supports weren’t the best option. The angles in this model make it difficult to orientate in a way to minimize support use (if I stood it up on edge, more supports would be needed in the inside of model and print time doubled). If it was my model, I’d definitely adjust the design to minimize support use but unfortunately that’s out of my control.
Given this, what would be the best way to adjust support settings to give a lower density support so they could be removed more easily? Appreciate any guidance.
