Bitdefender anti virus on my Android phone started today reporting the Bambu Handy app from the Google store to be PUA (Potentially Unwanted Program). A warning for unnecessary software that collects data it shouldn’t, abuses permissions to generate ad revenue, etc.
Any suggestions?
There have been reports for several months about multiple anti-virus programs alerting on Bambu Studio because some of the IPs it connects to are on blacklists. This is the first time I’ve seen it on Handy. I just searched and there are some brand new posts on Reddit about the same thing happening to other people with Handy and Bitdefender.
I get malicious behavior detected now. Something about anomaly detected. I’ve had bitdefender for a long time as well as Bambu handy so for this to now show up makes me feel like something is different about the handy app. It’s the only app that triggers bitdefender like this. Hoping this will be corrected and not really something malicious…
There has been an app update in the Google store recently. Suspects this latest one to start triggering the warning.
