I just checked my order. It seems that it is coming from Austin and Austin charged an extra $49.58. Mine shows Austin MTA Transit 1% at $24.79 and also Austin 1% at $24.79.

Also, the prusa XL is an inferior machine versus the H2D. That’s the main reason I went Bambu again, phenomenal value vs features and overall performance. My last dual extruder machine was an F370, and I’ll take the H2D over that one as well.

Sorry the US pricing is a mess, any of you thought about buying over the border?

Just ordered my H2D 4 hours ago. shipping cost…
3-5 business days to deliver after the order is shipped. £88.00 GBP
But I did get some nozzles and filament and some tubing.

The cost is of Centauri Carbon is irrelevant and/or fake, since you can’t get one right now and who knows that it will be by the time you can.

I don’t understand why you don’t understand this, or think that even if you do pay now at the cheaper price, that you somehow won’t have to pay tarriff when it eventually ships (assuming nothing changes).

I looked at the XL, and all I need to say is that I have an H2D now. Thankfully I avoided the price increase for a second AMS and the printer combo (along with accessories).

…but you can order it right now. I didnt but you can add it to cart and checkout with that current price…maybe tariffs with get tagged on later, but theres no reason I should think so either. You also saying ā€œwho knows that it will be by the time you canā€ā€¦but then right after that you’re trying to tell me it wont be that price. So which is it, do you know for certain if it wont, or dont you? I’m just going with the information that is presented to me without any sort of disclaimer from Elegoo to tell me otherwise. IMO Yours is more of an assumption than mine

No-one knows what the price will be. This is kind of the point. But if nothing changes it is not going to be 299 USD because that thing is already so heavily discounted that I can’t see Elegoo eating the 20%, 33% or 104% (or whatever it is) and not losing money.

That’s weird, I ordered filament, nozzles, smooth build plate, etc and my shipping was Ā£80.

technically its even more expensive than this as the AMS will still do 4 colours with 2 heads. The XL will not

Just seen the US has retaliated with upping some tariffs on Chinese imports to 104%.

What a game for tit for tat this is…

Lucky who ordered at release day. Everybody knew what is coming, at least in Europe.

Same experience. Had the 40W ready to go and thought it processed through check out but got no confirmations.

Yeah H2D was like $3499 for the 40W laser version

I suggest you Google the current economic conditions in China.

Sorry to add to your misery here, but pre-orders and limited stock this can happen.
When the PS5 dropped I had a total of 7 at different times make it to checkout and not get it.
Walmart would even cancel as soon as you finalized the order.
I’ve had many pre-orders for stuff have price changes and availability change. This isn’t new or exclusive to BL.

The tariff situation has thrown all economies into a freefall. With China getting hit especially hard and now with over 100% charge, it’s only going to get worse. China has vowed to fight the tariffs, so buckle up.

Consumers pay the price, literally and figuratively. Consumer grade electronics will be hit hard because the electronics come from China, Taiwan.

Only the dimwitted in the US wanted these tariffs. They hurt every consumer in every demographic. Those already on the edge are in worse danger.

Personally couldn’t care less about printer costs, more worried about 401k and buying food/medicine.

So, 13% increase it looks like for the A1.

johnfcooley - That would be synonymous with being in a store and using their in-store app where you scan an item you want and then put it into your cart. When you are done shopping you check out on your phone and then show a QR code representing what you purchased to the checker at the door.

However in this case you scan something and put it in your cart and then while you are checking out on your phone a store person grabs that item out of your cart and hands it to someone else to purchase it. THAT’S NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!

The right way would be… If after so many minutes say ten or fifteen minutes after the last item is placed in your cart you would get a notification that if you don’t complete your purchase in (say 10 minutes) the order will be canceled. Ideally you should be able to ask for more time if you are still selecting items to order.

Had a big ole reply with quotes and all but let’s just put this one to bed.
In a brick and mortar you can see what’s on the shelf, make a selection, possess that item itself and pay for it. If it’s taken from you by another customer you can fight it out, hope the store helps you, or lick your wounds and go home. I can’t think of a store that would take it from you and give it to another customer, unless you snatched it from their cart. Just wouldn’t happen.

As for online you are often ok to just put it in your cart and browse until you’re ready to pay. However when you do that you are at the risk of losing that item if quantities are limited. Online stores it’s not that it’s in your cart, it’s who pays for it. Some places will place a soft hold on it while it’s in your cart but that’s not transparent to the customer.
Say Amazon has a widget you and I both want. The item has only one left, and we both select it and then I go looking around. While I’m looking around you buy it. I’m out of luck. Is how it works. Bambu will actually tell you when you check out the item is no longer available, as most places do. However having it in your cart is not a guarantee of purchase. Has always been this way as long as I can remember, and I’m older than Google.

Pre-orders are an entirely different thing, but also similar. Back in the days games would be pre-ordered because stores would get limited quantities and they weren’t sold as downloads. Pre-orders were limited and first come first serve. If you walked in the door, said you wanted to pre-order, then went on shopping, then came up and the quantity available had been reached, tough. You’ll wait until pre-orders open up and get in on the next batch.

Online is the same thing. You are not just one person after an item. There could be 100’s and even 1000’s all after that same limited quantity. Only fair thing (and it’s seldom fair in a world of bots) is first come first serve. First pay first serve. Sadly that means you can be disappointed, maybe even angry.

What you offer up would never work. I don’t code but I can imagine that would cause nightmares with stock and tracking stock on a website. Needless logistics as well. Someone who works on retail websites can speak up with more authority.

Like I said, you can be angry, not going to stop you or tell you how to feel. You weren’t done dirty or cheated out of it though. Buckle up and just take your lumps. Sucks, but is what it is.

With the tariffs being increased by 50% less than 12 hours before they are set to take effect would this mean that orders will be canceled if there is not enough printers currently in the US? Or is the preorder for printers already past customs. Still kinda lost with this one.
