Hi All,
Been 3d printing for less than a year and can’t ignore the great reviews of the X1C. I have an ender 5 S1 but a successful print sometimes needs a lot of work and looking for better prints at speed. Would the X1C fit this brief? So far I am purely printing using PLA.
If Yes what accessories should I buy to go with it? And finally does Sunlu PLA work in the AMS?

I went from an ultimaker s2 to the X1C. Big jump in satisfaction. I think you need to accept that there is going to be some degree of tinkering with 3d printers especially when you go with off brand filament.
If there are to be failures, it will likely fail faster! Less issues by using Bambulab filament but that’s not to say you can’t make other brands work. PLA has worked great for me from various brands but having some issues dialing in PETG
I recommend getting the textured pei plate, possibly two.
AMS. Four of them total (or three in addition to the combo )
Get some different sized hot ends/nozzles
Extra ptfe tubing.
Extra scraper blades
Think about the layout and how you’re going to position things.
Get anything else that interests you. Shipping is super slow to me on the east coast.
Keep reading the forum. I think it fairly represents the pros and cons of these machines.

hi all
quick update. placed 2 orders this morning. One for the X1C and then 1 for filament / accessories and the AMS as I had read that if you order all together and one out is out of stock it slows the whole order down.
I have already received a DPD delivery notification but only for 1 order. Do you think customer service would have noticed both were coming to the same address and gave dpd just one number? Or is it more likely the accessories order is delayed? recognise it is a guess but you guys have more experience than me.

Isn‘t it cheaper to buy X1C and AMS together as the „Combo“?
Not sure what they are shipping first… What were the shipping-times displayed when you ordered? For me they were always accurate, sometimes even faster then displayed but never late.
Hi. Combo not in stock it appears. Think the printer is coming first. RE shipping times it talked about 3 to 5 business days hence my surprise at the DPD notification. Guess will see tomorrow.
If you look at your orders in the store, you should be able to see which one shipped.
thanks. And this morning woke up to a second despatch notice. Looks like DPD will be coming today with the printer and tomorrow with the AMS and the filament etc. If that is the case then that is great service given I only ordered yesterday at 10am.

Edited to give an update. DPD say the X1C will be here between 11.30 and 12.30 today! Very excited!
Printer arrived and set up. All the filament and accessories I ordered also came (Today) but the AMS will be Tuesday. Not complaining. Great service from Bambulabs.
