Purge constantly falling onto build plate

Has anyone else come across this issue? I am in the middle of a fairly large/long print and its probably every 2 or so hours the purge gets stuck in the scraper and causes an AI detection. It is purging so much that it touches the nozzle and creates a large blob that is so top heavy that half of the time it doesn’t go down the chute and either gets stuck on the scraper, sticks to the nozzle and then gets stuck to the prime tower, or falls onto the build plate. What can i do to fix this?
To confirm, the chute itself isn’t backed up or blocked in anyway, its because it purges so much it gets such a huge blob on top that it falls forward instead of back into the chute

Here is what the purge from this print that i sliced in BS looks like

And here it is compared to purge from prints I’ve done from Handy

I do note that the purge chute does tend to get clogged easily, especially with PLA Silk which does not curl up into bundled poops and instead usually puffs and snakes.

It’s gonna sound stupid, but grease/oil your poop bucket’s slide, if you’re using one of those that slides the waste around front. Not foolproof, but helps. Or use one that has a huge volume, cuz they tend to stack up in columns and clumps, rather than slump out like a pile of sand.

Yeah i have one that has a large volume but the problem is they are never making it into the chute at all. Because they are so top heavy with that blob, the purge falls forward onto the build plate or stays stuck on the nozzle until it hits the prime tower. It seems to be only this print but its been a right pain to babysit this 41hour print for every single color change on the main nozzle

by the look of the purges, it seems that you could reduce the amount of purge for most color changes

I’m getting the same issue with a day old X2D. The purge sometimes seems to clump either on the lip of the slide thingy, or just outside it, and never gets thrown anywhere. The worse example was it seemed to dry when caught on the lip of the slider thing, and next print threw the head/extruder out causing an error. Photo attached - I’ve contacted B

ambu to see if there is any resolution.

Wet filament tends to produce blobbier purges that get hung up and thrown out on the wipe cycle. Every time I had a problem like this on my X1C, “wet” was the cause. I haven’t experienced it in years, though, once I started being a bit more “religious” about drying…

Thanks - I’ll try to be more focused on drying; worth a shot!

I doubt drying will help, I have been dealing with this on all 4 X2Ds and I dry all my filament for 12hrs prior to use, my AMS units are all powered externally and set to auto dry if humidity hits 12% through Bambuddy. Between this and the P2S flicking the little ooze strings onto plate it’s just a never ending battle. On large multicolor prints I need to pause print every few hours to clear the blobs hanging around the poop shoot, once the build plate drops low enough thankfully they tend to fall into the lower try.
