Does anyone have an idea why the diameter of my Purge Tower is so huge compared to the actual item I’m printing? See photo.
This happened in Bambu Studio. I re-sized the original print to make it 150%.
It is uses three different color filaments.
I printed this on my A1.
I was shocked to see that this object was going to take 3 hours to print, but went ahead. The object itself is 19.24 x 21.00 x 29.06 mm.
The purge tower is about 35x35x29.06.
The other “gotcha” is I printed it entirely from the keypad on the A1 (I did not use Bambu Studio) from a previous print. Turns out this one was not multi-color like I wanted. sigh What a waste of time and filament. ;(
If you are printing this using Bambu Studio rather than Bambu Handy, you can change the tower size if you believe the size is larger than required.
If the number of colour changes is minimal and/or the contrast between those changing colours is minor, you can reduce the width and volume values (amongst others).
I tend to find 10 for both values usually works well., less is possible.
Experience will give you more experience on how these value can change depending on the factors of your model and filament changes.
