Hello everyone!
I’m still new here and have a question about the new H2D printer for you.
Unfortunately, I only got the standard model in the combo package at the time, as the laser was already sold out. I didn’t think much of it since I already have a separate laser anyway and don’t need to use the H2D beyond its intended purpose.
However, I wanted to have/test the drawing and cutting module, as I like to try out all sorts of things. I thought I could simply purchase it later when it became available again. Unfortunately, today the support team informed me during a conversation that these extensions can only be used together with the laser module!
Why is that? I’m not going to buy a laser module just to attach a cutting accessory! Does anyone here have the laser variant and can tell me why this is necessary? Is there perhaps a way to print a sort of laser dummy afterward to still use the devices? Technically, nothing from the laser is necessary for this, or am I wrong? Maybe the additional camera is required, but the expensive laser module seems absolutely unnecessary to me, especially since I already have a better laser cutter anyway.
