HI all, I’m a bit confused about the wiki page suggestion.
so I’ve been playing with PETG translucent and had some issues but came across the wiki page. Some of what it says I’m not sure about though. Generically speaking I’m not sure why the printer profile for BL translucent doesn’t even come close to matching what they are recommending but here are some of the specific settings I was confused about.

It recommends a .8mm nozzle because that’s less layer lines, but then says to set the layer height to .1?

it recommends turning off the Part cooling fan completely. Everything I’ve read has said no cooling on petg would be a terrible idea?

It says to set printing temp to 270, which is 10 degrees higher than what is listed on the filament page?

It says to set the infill density to 100%? That seems counterintuitive as more material means less translucency.

Oddly it doesn’t talk about raising bed temperature at all where Professor Google was ubiquitous throughout it’s responses that you should raise temp for better adhesion.
I have a delicate print, it’s a buck from makeworld, that I have been struggling to print in petg. I finally got it to work by increasing print and bed temp by 5 degrees, slowing things down even more than I already did, and using glue. I didn’t change any other settings. It looks decent but I’d like to try again but focusing now on getting a better transparent look and want to dial in on the settings so any help is appreciated.
