Quick start suggestions and tips for a new P1s owner

Hi All,

I have been using ender 3 s1 pro for 2 years. I am a hobbyist and was satisfied with the print quality of it. We moved to a new flat and dust and cold breeze avoid bed adhesion. It is impossible to import any parts in my country any more that I can not buy an enclosure for it. So i pulled the trigger and ordered P1s Combo from a local distributor.

As i mentioned finding original parts, filaments etc will be very hard if not impossible. So I would like to hear your suggestions to achieve good results and longevity of my new printer. I will print PLA, PETG, TPU, ASA and ABS. Most of them are locally manufactured aka noname. Originals are 3x more expensive than EU prices.

  • What things should i be doing differently from Ender 3 s1 pro?
  • Maintenance routines?
  • Recommended build plates per filament type (already ordered three CryoGrip plates form BIGTREETECH; glacier, frosbite and textured pei/smooth PET. Their recommendations are printed on plates but i would like to hear yours.
  • How to reduce filament waste? Is it possible print infills during filament change instead of tower and poop thing?
  • Are temp and fan speed settings in Bambu Studio OK or should we need to to reduce them for enclosed printing. Currently they look very similar to open prints.
  • Is V2 hotend upgrades for hot swapping nozzles work? Original hotends almost impossible to find here and severely expensive.I would like to have several 0.6s and 0.8 handy.
  • My work room can not receive healthy Wi-Fi signals and occasional hiccups as well. Will the the prints fail in those instances? I know SD card and LAN only option but i would prefer to use it as intended. What preventive measures needed. My ISP do not allow AP.
    Thanks in advance
