Is there a work around for not being allowed to submit a 4 or 5 star rating because it thinks I didn’t have a successful print when I did have a successful print. And in this specific case it is huge and there is no way I’m going to print a second copy just to submit a rating.
Unfortunately, no, and a 3 star can hurt a creator’s average which can impact incentives. You can leave a comment and not a star rating, though.
Unfortunately no. What I recommend doing instead is leave a positive comment, maybe with photo showing that it’s successful and if you really liked it - give it a boost. Don’t rate 3-star or lower unless the profile really sucks
It is a long-known bug that Bambu Lab has chosen to ignore.
A perfectly successful print reports back to the spaceship that says “it failed”.
This could be:
- A firmware bug
- A connection issue with BL
- Something else
As others have said, if you can’t rate honestly (4 or 5 stars), it can hurt the designer, particularly if they have yet to attain a decent number of other ratings.
Add a comment, explaining your thoughts and steel them you would have rated if not for the incorrect status you were presented.
When I have printed a model and it deserves 5 stars, if I’m being prevented from giving 5 stars, is it better to cancel the rating?
At least that way it doesn’t have a negative impact.
Back away from the rating and write a nice comment.
Your 3-star, however well-meaning could turn a designer’s 4.0 average into a 3.9 one and suddenly they stop earning points through no fault of theirs.
Someone else comes along and sees a 3.9 and thinks twice about even trying to print.
This is SO silly. You can cancel a print for so many reasons (wrong build plate, etc.) and then rerun it from your printer and now you’re blocked from a >3 star rating and if you post a comment/photo you don’t get rewards points like you would from a rating. Who even spent the time in SW engineering programming all this logic? lol
