Rattling Sound when Head is moving but only from Right to Left

Hi,

I have noticed this strange rattling sound when the extruder head moves in a leftward direction (both left and diagonally) at a fast speed.

I don’t hear it at slower speeds.

When I got the printer a few weeks ago, I didn’t notice any sounds like this.

My first thought is maybe when I tried overture PETG filament, it was cracking and splintering. I realised this was because it was wet and dried, but I attempted printing before drying quite a few times, not knowing why it was behaving like that. Maybe some of the shrapnel got into the gear or something?

This is a link to a video where you can hear the sound.

Is this something I should worry about? or am I overthinking?

Thanks for the help.

Did you find a solution to this

Hi,

If I remember correctly, it was an issue with the z-axis. I added some lube to the belt—basically all over, but NOT THE TEETH. I also loosened and tightened the x and y belts, trying to make them align properly in the center of the gear. Instructions on the Bambu wiki on how to do it are available. try these things and see if it helps.

NO LUBE ON THE BELT TEETH!!! The edges and back are the target.
