Hello everyone! I just wanted to share with you a rc boat project that I made using the cyberbrick modules, what do you think about it?
You’ll probably need a gasketed seal around the edge of that top piece.
Yes, I was thinking about this! I have to say that after 10 minutes no water came in but for safety is better to seal it!
First I was thinking about making it with tpu, thin foil of tpu, then I was thinking about eva foil 2/3mm think cut for it
Working with Outdoor boxes, the most effective seem to be a square channel in the top that gets filled with a silicone or TPU gasket and the mating piece has a thin raised cross section that presses into the gasket. TPU85A would work well (Printed separately and pressed in), I think and it would be a continuous seal.
wow, so cool! I will try to make it then!![]()
I can only say very cool ![]()
Wow! Impressive! That’s a cool project right there, I might have to try that out
For a boat I would 100% use a regular RC unit instead of cyberbrick control.
So many times I have heard of people complaining that their wifi dropped, but never have I heard someone say their drone crashed - or their boat got stuck in the middle of a lake - because the RC lost signal. Occasionally can get line of sight blocked in a bad way, though.
