Realy bad print quality bambu lab a1

Hey so 2-3 weeks ago my print quality aas suddenly realy bad and i have not been able to fix it since. 2 out of 3 prints fail and if they print successful they are really ugly and bad.
I dont know what to do anymore. Any tips?

What i already tried:
*different nozzles
*different build plates
*different filament and brands
*drying filament
*retighten screws in heating element.
*different heating element
*slower print speed
*tighten all the belts
*recalibrate printer multiple times

I added some pictures at the botom if you can maybe recognise the problem

Were any changes made to the printer or slicer around the time things stopped working?

There have been reports of people having issues with current versions of printer firmware and Bambu Studio. If one or both of those items were updated recently, try reverting to the older version(s) to rule out a software/firmware issue.

I was on vacation and when i got back it happened. Could be a firmware update but i tried to go back to an older version already and it kept failing when trying to download it to the printer

I will try to go back to the older version again right now

Hate to be that guy… but this looks like a text book dirty plate. Finger prints wreak havoc on plates. Take it to the sink grab some Dawn or dishwashing soap and wash and rinse. Doesn’t take much, just a simple wash and rinse and don’t touch the plate needlessly.

How do you know if a dirty plate is your problem, bad adhesion is the first clue, but that print with the hole near the first few layers is a dead giveaway. Being you have an aftermarket plate, the plate could be an contributor, but I’d start by washing it.

Good luck.

The threads and bed collisions are familiar to me (and no the latest firmware of about 10 days I have not installed)
A1 and A1 mini are 4 months old and im 200+ prints in. That being said I have the stock plates that came with the machines, never ever used glue etc on build plates, but between longer prints I wash the plates thoroughly in soapy hot water, what Ive done when the threads or collisions happen is

  1. Wash dry thoroughly
  2. Rub down plates with rubbing alcohol
  3. Auto bed level every print
  4. Take a pin etc and ensure the extruder is clear and clean
  5. Ensure the noxxle is seated properly
Usually clears up the threading and collisions for about 10-15 prints or so

I’ve seen that happen in some of my own prints when trying to print too fast for the filament. This includes walls and fill. Dial the speeds back on a test and see if that helps.

I wish that was the problem, i already tried washing it and using different platss like you mentioned

I tried printing slower, didn’t work

So i facory ressetdd my printer and went back to the previous software version and suddenly it prints perfect again

Did you backstep Bambu Studio or the printer firmware? Or both?

That certainly tells something. I’ve all of a sudden started having problems printing TPU that I didn’t see before.

Just the printer firmware. I went to 1.3.0. Smth and then to the new one.
But i think the biggest part was just resseting the printer

My prints have become way better but i am getting sudden drops of pea sized filament dropped ontop of my prints which makes the ugly or fail over there, i am printing with petg. Any tips?

I do not know if this the situation but in the past I had the same problems and the cause were the screws behind (NOT the 3 M3x10 “in front”) of the Hotend Heating Assembly (there are 4 small screws: check if they are correctly tightened: in my case one of them was missing!)
