Red blink 2/sec AMS Jam

Red blinking at AMS, can still calibrate and put down partial first layer, but soon will only extrude with help by pushing filament manually.

Does anyone have advice on how to clear the red light error at the AMS filament feed. On discord they mentioned this may be due to the spring in the filament buffer on the back being stuck. At first I thought this was the problem because it seemed to be fixed for a week or two, but then it happened again tonight. The filament would only extrude when I would force it through by hand. There were some bubbles on the build plate. Could this cause the nozzle to clog? I was not able to clear the nozzle, so swapped to a new one (0.6mm) and swapped out the original build plate for textured PI. Finally, I ended up switching the same PLA (vacuum sealed Snap-maker) from Slot 1, to Slot 3 and now it is printing fine. Updated slicer settings for nozzle and build plate. At some point I will need to try a new roll of filament in Slot 1 to see if it only happens in certain slots.

It could be some combination of switching between PLA and PETG, or switching between the rear spool and the AMS.

Thank you in advance for advice.

I am having this issue in my AMS 3rd slot for some reason. I have found that the filament is tightening up. when the filament is next to the spool and it becomes kinked. I have to unravel the filament many revolutions to get to the kink. (I’m talking about a couple of meters of filament). Once I get to the kink I pull it out and then rewind the filament onto the spool and it works. The think is that I have to do this every time that I use the 3rde AMS slot. So I try to print solely on the first slot where this issue never occurs. I need to look into it more and try to figure out why the filament is kinking up in the third slot. Maybe rollers are nor rolling properly or something like that. As OP said, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Having a similar issue. Was on my 1st slot only but now I have it on 1 & 3. It seems the gears on the AMS for the selected filament are locking up. I gently rock it in the other direction and the roller frees up. Anyone else having this issue?
