Whats the easiest, ideal way of reducing the speed of my prints on all layers? I want the same speed on all layers like the speed of the first layer.
I am having some issues with printing a lightbox, some darker color string in the white. It seems that in my first layer, i dont have any. But after that the issue comes.
What settings can i change?
Easy: Use the Silent Mode Speed in the printer settings. It reduces all movements by 50%. Note that this option can only be initiated after the print starts. It may take one layer before it shows up in Bambu Studio. Or you can actuate this from the front panel which is my preference because you see the affect almost instantly but you still have to wait for the print to start.
Ideal: Use the Speed tab and micro-manage speed for each layer type. This in my view is the best way because you can manage what parts of the movement you want to slow down and by precise amounts whereas method #1 is only one setting; 50%.
I have been reducing the speed on most of my prints lately, because I am not in any hurry to get the print done and it makes for a better print. I will do it via the screen method during the first during the first layer since the first layer prints at a reduced speed any way and changing the speed then doesn’t make it print slower. I do not reduce the volumetric filament flow, I think that is automatically adjusted when you change the speed. So…on the printer control panel screen, when project has started to print, press on the 100% speed number and then on the next screen press on the “50% silent” mode. You should see the printer slow down if you are on layer 2 or higher. Press the < at the top of the screen to go back to the main print screen. You should not see the speed on the main screen indicating 50%
What @Olias Mapped out is the best way to have overall control of speed do not adjust flow unless needed calibrate to see but as for speed Olias did grate on pointing you in the right direction. @Locoman also showed a simple more of a quick setup and go witch is valid just depends on your needs and control your looking for.
I second on this, but I would like to see a menu in the Bambu Studio where user can choose Speed, Quality or Strength and based on this choice the flow, speed and infill will be automatically adjusted accordingly.
