I have a motor A open circuit error. Followed instructions, and removed 14 screws. However, can not disconnect the filament tube from AMS. Also what appear to be tabs on either side of the upper back do not release. I submitted a service tag a week ago requesting instructions. No response. Any suggestions to release the filament tube and remove back greatly appreciated.
Inside the AMS where the tube goes through the balck rubber piece push down to release the ptfe tube
I think they’re trying to remove the back of the printer. The advice to push on the collar where the tube enters is correct.
There is an additional screw under the AMS buffer/hub (often has a VOID sticker on it which you can ignore.) The tabs referred to may be the belt tensioners - just wiggle the back left and right to clear those.
Those tabs, on the outside edge of the belt tensioners. After you take all the screws out and the back is loose except for the tabs, you need to push/hold one in just a bit farther than it normally sits, then carefully use a small flat screwdriver to flick the other side off. If you’ve got it just in the right position it should not take any force or bending, so maybe go slow, move it around until you find the right spot.
Least that’s worked for me, anyway.
Thank you everyone. I was able to remove the back and found motor A unplugged. Reconnected and now making my first print with this machine. So far, going well.
