Replace faulty board fan or wait for reply to ticket?

So I assume I’ve got a faulty motherboard fan : It's getting worse ! - YouTube
10 minutes after this video, everything sounded normal again. It still does now but I can hear some rattling when the fan is spooling up so I think it’s just a matter of time before it breaks

I’ve got a new one (ordered with the printer as a spare) but now I see this screw underneath the buffer:

This had me taken aback a little. What are the practical consequenses of me removing this screw? It’s not like they’re ever going to ask me to send it back for repairs, are they?

I want to print, I am willing to replace the motherboard fan myself but should I?
Printing now seems like a big risk, what if I fry the motherboard when the fan seizes mid print?

Ignore the sticker on the screw. I replaced my fan with a Noctua, but I recommend at this point to get support to send you a credit to their store to buy a new fan, which is now a better model.

They agreed to send me 20 euros store credit and had to make one more video (write ticket number on post it, stick it on screen with serial number displayed and zoom in on the sound)

After making that video, I immediately replaced the fan and now its purring like a kitten
In the manual for replacing the fan, they say to remove the heatsink but that’s not necessary.

Watch out for the difference in screws (fine thread = metal parts, course thread = plastic parts)
