Replacement of AP board made my printer a paperweight for a few days

So, I had a bug where my chamber light turns off several seconds too soon, so support offered me replacements of light and then ap board, despite my many attempts to hint that it must be a strictly software error.
I replaced AP board on Saturday, and now is evening of Monday, and I’m still unable to print. It’s X1C+AMS in Europe, so I paid a hefty price to get it and been printing almost daily since then.
Printer is seen in lan only mode, but it won’t work properly. It reports firmware 00.00.00.00. It won’t connect to my bambulab account either or update firmware by any means.

so I want to ask - wtf? While support agents were generally nice… why copy apple’s DRM bullshit if you can’t deliver apple’s speed of 5m unlocking of a new part? Or even why lock an official part from being used at all?.. It’s not a phone to be stolen, I won’t drop my 3d printer out of my pocket so someone can rebuild it with some new parts… And support promised me that there will be no DRM lock whatsoever and it’s just so they replace part for warranty records…

It’s anti-consumer practice, and it will ruine the company in the long run IMO, as I won’t be getting more bambu products if FIXING A CHAMBER LIGHT DELAY will mean that I can’t print with my 1700 eur bundle for several days!
Even more, in LAN Only mode nor webcam feed, not bambu handy on the same LAN will work, which makes no sense. (and you can’t print in lan only as well, yeah, screw me)

Fix your ■■■■, bambulabs. Please stop being dicks to people who give you money!

Thank you. After yet another reboot and your confirmation, I am finally able to print again. Still, I want you to address this nonsense DRM situation where a customer provided with the original detail can’t use the device until you confirm it in your system. Printer should be fully functional in LAN only mode, including AMS and Camera feed even if boards are not activated.

Shows as X1-Carbon. There are some files to print, including 2 I didn’t see on a previous board, so I believe here it’s all fine.

hey @sneakyjoe_ru this exact thing is happening to me right now and I have been updating my ticket by messaging them every day asking them to link my new ap board to my x1c for five consecutive days with absolutely no response and i am so frustrated and feed up. hopefully @BrotherC reads this and connects my printer ASAP! I even had the pleasure of paying them for the replacement part through a ridiculous process when if I could have just purchased the part and installed it without jumping through hoops, I believe it would have been resolved weeks ago. Saying that I should mention that their replacing process for the AP Board has been going on for a month now with my printer being out of action the whole time!!! (yes, there are flames coming out of my ears right now as I type, not to mention my poor keyboard is getting pounded!!!). I don’t understand why if the part isn’t covered under warranty as it is 'too old" and even though the variable voltage issue at the led socket is a common issue in the early model X1C’s (mine is off KS) and then they would not give any warranty assistance then why do i have to go through the whole diagnosis BS when i was 100% certain what the fault was within minutes of the fault occurring i was able to diagnosing the fault. it isn’t like i can link the link the board to my printer without them! now i have to wait just like you have for them to get around to attending to my ticket whenever they see fit. i was like you, i already own a X1C with three AMS units and i was about to purchase another X1C and a fourth AMS but i am seriously having second thoughts… i hope you managed to get your printer sorted i guess all i can do is go and post my complaints on as many social media forums as i can in a hope that someone at BBL’s will read them unlike the outstanding tickets that are left hanging!
