oh, I never supported rewards for reports. I was giving a hypothetical on how easily it could be abused. I’m for getting rid of points altogether. Maybe just a hard “buy a roll of filament” like Printables without the asinine shipping costs.
Probably worded that bad. Not directed towards you.
I just started the comment from yours then didnt stop.
lol, it’s all good, really.
I tend to play devil’s advocate and fail to remember my voice can’t be heard.
The year is 2032. Instead of ai slop flooding makerworld to game the point system we now have terminator jannies. They are shredding through accounts, report by report. None shall be spared in the quest for a guy in his underwear to get a free roll of $15 PLA.
Not through that weird face mask thing making you sound like an asthmatic James Earl Jones.
Damn Malc is in a mood today
Love you too
Nope, he and I are friends.
Ik. But that comment was more than I expected from you. Lol
I often lean into his avatar.
Pay as you go sim cards are literally free here, i can farm up dozens of accounts just by having companies send me free sim cards
A little different in the USA, so I am speaking to my experience.
It is just one extra step. I think that would at least cut down on the number of people doing that.
I found out a while ago I can get a virtual phone number for receiving texts without ever registering any personal details or even logging in.
What we used to assume protected us, just doesn’t anymore.
I hate to think about the other things I have yet to learn are no longer safety nets.
Look, I’m a big boy. Malc is one of the closest here on this board and he can say any damn thing he wants to me. At any time.
Period.
There are also numerous websites that will let you get a temp number for texts, there are numerous workable solutions out there that render registering a phone number pretty moot
I am pretty sure there is a way to stop virtual numbers from getting through. I know facebook and google are able to do that.
Sure but they can only block number ranges, which is a risk as companies recycle dormant mobile numbers, and it also requires them to know that its a range being used for this so will always be on a delay
wrong hat man, sold that a year ago
