We have taken actions and taken down the reported print profile
however when i go on every models and check with my friends if its still online it is still online … so whats going on ? also the reports i do sometimes take over a week to get in consideration and taken down with multiple attempts to send to makerworld for them to take those models down… so im wondering why this is so long and cant you guys actually make us gain thrust points or something so that when we report more models we actually gain thrust and our reports come in first meaby towards you guys ? i know you probably get a lot of reports that dont mean anything but what about people that actually try to help this community ?? @Tanklet thanks a lot
Yeah, they found that MW doesn’t want to take any proactive action, so if the profile is taken down, the user puts it back up and then MW quickly does nothing.
its frustrating when i look for models for the A1 mini only to find the models arent suitable for the printer , even though i specify in the filter setting for A1 mini
If you get the notification about print profile being taken down then it 100% means that the profile you’ve reported has been taken down. The model will still be online though and nothing prevents others from uploading their profile to the model or prevents the uploader re-uploading profile from scratch. Check the upload dates on “still online” profile and I’m sure it’ll be after the taking down and with downloads/prints stats re-set.
also - MW doesn’t respond to every report on same profile so in case you’ve reported a profile that somebody else reported before you, it seems that the 1st reporter will be notified, not all of the reporters (which is something they could imho easily fix and would go long way)
Nope. But as Malc said, MW isn’t proactive. It’s reactive. So if you notice scammy account, report it. Enough “flags” and the account will be taken out and the scammer will have to start fresh.
Better Quality (4 hours)
Super Fast (everything turned up to 11: 2.9 hours)
A1 mini (smaller version of the spool)
Two of them were taken down because I used prohibited terms. (“better” and “fast”). Because there was a major quality difference and a major speed difference (functionality is the same) these were two justifiable different print profiles.
So I just reuploaded the profiles again without the prohibited terms and they are fine now. Not sure if it was reported (why??) or an automatic takedown (then it should be instant instead of after a day) but if somebody reported it they could have come back and concluded that nothing had changed.
So yes, it might be too easy to reupload print profiles, but on the other hand, it would have been a pain in the something if I could not have reuploaded it asap. Not sure what the best way is, but there is something to be said about both sides?
the profiles reported and models reported are still there… yes i know if you report the profile its what will be taken down, unfortunatly it seems there is a bug as they are all still there as i mentioned
because you have not read the rules… it clearly says in them you cannot call your model or put pictures as such to promote your model and call it better or faster in any way… nicest finest speedy call it like you want you cannot.
