As a creator, I want to make sure my models work on more than just my X1C, and right now the review system isn’t helping me gather reliable data at all.
Here’s one issue; some folks have been leaving reviews on one of my creations saying the model doesn’t print, even though a majority of the reviews say it does print well (and they include pictures of the final print too!)
So it’s got me thinking…
We already get points for a “successful print”, so maybe we could have reviews on models tagged as “verified” when that user has printed the model? Because right now I can’t tell if a reviewer is being honest about their experience unless they upload a picture. The last thing I need is to be lied to by a reviewer who says that “the model breaks when I touch it”, wasting my time trying to figure out what is causing that particular issue for that user and nobody else.
Ensuring reviews are verified by their machines that a model has been printed would be a good first step. Yes, some bitter people might still leave a false review even if it does print well for them, but it would make it easier for me as a creator to filter through the reviews and focus on the verified ones that claim they had issues with the model.
